In fact. That tis a fib. I am not a fan - at ALL.
Not when it comes to food, anyway.
Yep. It's the return of The Woolen.
Clothes on the other hand. Why yes!!! I cannot get enough of things that are mustard coloured. I have, at last count, 7 tops and 3 different kinds of accessories. If I see something containing this colour I am on it like a fly on the proverbial. With Autumn on the way - or at least here to stay, considering it joined the UK in June - what better than a lovely dose of warming yellowness such as this? I have even spied tights in this colour recently.
Oh. I went giddy.
Tweet! Tweet!
And I am still finding any excuse I can to wear my lovely Acorn & Will brooches. This one shows the colour much clearer than my initial post.
In fact - I am building outfits around them. Normally it is the shoes I want to wear, or how I can be bothered to fix my hair. And now? Now it is brooches.
Well - it saves me time staring, frowning and huffing at my wardrobe if I have one piece of the outfit puzzle solved, dunnit?
TTFN!
I love your outfit! I'm a big fan of mustard too - bags, sweaters, cardigans, shoes...you name it, I've got it. And although I suspect you have cruddy days like all of us you always look so happy in your pics!!
ReplyDeleteK xx
You look gawjuss.
ReplyDeleteI too love a bit of mustard...'tis classic. I'm searching for a mustard cardi for this autumn which will start in about five days, so I'd better get a wiggle on!xxx
I too am a sucker for a mustard woollen, they have a certain English land girl vintage-ness to them with out having to be vintage - I don't know if that makes any sense at all, probably not:)
ReplyDeleteAnyway your looking fabulous as always!
Fabulous! Your outfits are so well put-together, I love it. The mustard looks great. As a knitter I admit I'm always a fan of the woolens! Never mind that it will be almost 95F (35C) here tomorrow. But mornings are cooler so I can tell Fall is coming! :)
ReplyDeleteI also love a bit of mustard in clothes and on food! In fact I wore my mustard bolero my mum knit me only yesterday :o)
ReplyDeleteYou wesrt mustard well, love the birdies.
ReplyDeleteYou look great! Can't wait for it to cool down so I can slip on a sweater. So much nicer with my less than toned upper arms! It looks like mustard is popular this year. Just bought a lovely sweater this month in that color.
ReplyDeleteYay, another fellow mustard (colour) lover! Where did you get that lovely item from?
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! I am entertained and inspired by your vintage life! (ostiebug@yahoo.com)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great brooch, building outfits around accessories... love it!
ReplyDeleteYou wear mustard color sweater so well amor.
ReplyDeleteI need to get me more mustard colored clothes. little swallows look perfectly cute.
Ah, you can't beat a good bit of mustard wool, eh? Delightful! And of course, loving your Acorn & Will ( I have this in cream and totally heart them!) xx
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit on you, great colour choice!! X
ReplyDeleteOh, I do like a nice bit of old gold! I have a bundle of woolly wool ready to be knitted up- but I’m waiting for pattern perfection first! Love your slipover…. Nice! Tups x
ReplyDeleteI think we all love mustard!!!
ReplyDeleteI love too, that you are building your outfits around your brooch!!Hurrah!
XXX
Gorgeous – and yay, another mustard (clothing) lover! :D Love those brooches too.
ReplyDeleteThe mustard wouldn't look half so hot in the absence of red lips and nails. I always shy away from any yellow hues, I fancy they highlight the sallow-ness of my skin. Looking at you, resplendent in mustard, and reading the comments, I reckon I'm missing a trick...
ReplyDeleteYou do have the most superb dress sense! I love that outfit, and the little bird brooch really makes it.
ReplyDeleteI look hiiiieddddeous in mustard!
ReplyDeleteYou, however, look like a mustard toned angel! Love that jumper.
I love mustard too, though quite often it ends up making me look yellow so I don't actually own very much. I would love a nice mustard cardi. Oh, and I am with you - I DESPISE hot English mustard, I have tried and failed to enjoy it in any way. I do like grainy, dijon, and even (gasp) American hotdog mustard though. Noms x
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely! I need to gte myself some mustard too, it's such a fab colour.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm the opposite - love eating it, can't wear it (my fault - don't have the right colouring!)
ReplyDeleteSuits you though!
Ooh check you out being all transitional season dressy - or whatever the glossies would call it. Summery blouse with the perfect Autumnal woollen. The brooch does indeed 'pop' against it. (Can you tell I've been reading fashion mags in the bath?)
ReplyDeleteThat brooch is sooo gorgeous, I am quite sure I'D build outfits around it! The mustard suits you- I like the shade but it doesn't suit my complexion! The taste I am not sure about!
ReplyDeleteLove that mustard colour, you look fab.
ReplyDeleteI'm mad for greens and blues at the mo', not sure why!
Mustard colour looks great, lovely outfit!
ReplyDeleteHop you don´t mind I nominated your great blog - http://susansdiaryvintagestylemeets.blogspot.com/2011/09/irresistibly-sweet-blog-award-goes-to.html
