A spot of shopping outfit post

Yep. There is NO escaping it. The season of general merriment and over indulgence is upon us. And if I had not trod on and killed my Festive Spirit -  I would be hurrahing right about now. Alas. It lies squished on the floor.

So -  I thought I would brighten my day with an outfit post. This is the way I dress most Saturdays. Unless I am out in London. And then I wear a frock. Well -  the Queen does live there! (sometimes)

Mega rolls going on. The beauty of dirty-I-really-should-have-washed-it-yesterday hair!

I like to be comfy but with a definite 40's look. I do get stares. But who of us don't? It is something that I have to get used to, if I want to dress the way I do.

Jacket via charity shop.

That's all for now. I am off in search of a big Christmas Tree. I have decided that less is definitely not more. I am done with the twig we bought. I want to stamp on it. I am hoping the new tree shall come with a new ready-to-make-me-merry-and-all-christmassey Festive Spirit.

Until next time!

  1. Loving it. I love a bit of tweed. I think the head scarf rocks. Happy shopping! x

  2. I very much like the jeans/tweed/rolls combo. You do have to get used to funny looks, but most people look rubbish anyway and you look awesome, so who cares. x

  5. It's a lovely outfit hun. I saw a lady buying fabric who had a similar headscarf with peroxide blonde hair poking out in rollers a few weeks ago, I couldn't take my eyes off her - she must have thought I was a right weirdo! But I was staring then because I've never seen anyone else looking so vintage. At the time I had scruffs on, that'll teach me ;-) However I have been sniggered at a few times too. By younger women of course, let's not show any solidarity eh?

What lipstick are you wearing? x

  7. Missy - thanks :o)

PD - yes they DO look rubbish!

Tups - sorry for the no snow pic! This was actually taken a few of weeks back. We have about 3.5". Which is cack. The whole world stops!

LC - isn't that always a buggar? Seeing someone else when you are in scruffs and you think "Hey!!! i'm normally dressed just like you too!!" You were probably sniggered at by younger women in Uggs no doubt. And lippy is... errrr.... I *think* No 7 Showbiz.

Carrie - thanks for stopping by :o)

  8. Wonderful look! I'm a big fan of the fitted-jeans-and-vintage-feeling-top combo, and TBH it is my main weekend look too. Especially in this weather, it's practical and pretty, win-win!
